Jamshid (Jay) Khuja - Afghan Chef
Jay has traveled and lived in many countries around the world. He has trained with Afghan and Pakistani Chefs. Jay is flexible in his food preparation styles for the Banquet Hall. He can create dishes that suit each client’s needs, tastes and preferences.
Joan Cabrera – Banquet Sales Manager and Coordinator
Joan has been with Cherry Blossom Hall since December 2009. She has 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Over the years she has gained knowledge and expertise from the variety of positions and types of establishments she has worked at. Her strong service industry backround enables her to successfully help her clients create their special event. Joan and her professional staff are dedicated to excellance and customer satisfaction.
Sher Shoja – Owner
Sher has been involved in the restaurant and catering industry since 1994. His experience includes operating and managing multiple restaurant franchises, as well as starting a family owned restaurant chain (Grill Kabob) which has been expanded to 15+ locations in the DC/MD/VA area since being established in 1999. Mr. Shoja has taken his substantial amount of knowledge and experience in the restaurant and food industry to the next level at Cherry Blossom Restaurant and Banquet Hall.
Carmelo Elias – Event and Restaurant Manager
Carmelo started his food and beverage career in Atlantic City, NJ eight years ago. He worked various positions in several casinos such as The Borgata and Trump Taj Mahal. Carmelo has aquired food service skills by working together with many well know chefs such as chef Robert Irvine from the Food Network. He is a believer in hard work and leadership and is a great asset to the Cherry Blossom team.
